Colors play significant role in web design. Their relevance varies with the speed of light, but if the combinations are successful, matched the designer’s aim and emphasize the mood of your site, colors will not lose relevance. Today we have collected good examples of sites with bright and vivid colors
Dashed and Contour Line drawings. Complex Simplicity in a Black-White Artworks
Dashed graphics are images formed with dashed lines and monotonically colored areas. Today we have collected inspiring examples of such art style. Despite the absence of halftones, this technique is great for creating volume, textures and other complex elements.

Stunning Line Art by Paolo Ceric
Look at these expressive drawings. The Croatian graphic artist created the images of a single spiral line. The effect works similarly to a printing process. The line spacing is larger in bright areas, while the lines are closer in dark areas. Paolo Ceric likes to play with graphic and digital effects
Fruit-vegetable Carving. Intricate Patterns on Food by Japanese Virtuoso Gaku
Carving is a kind of sculpture. Cooking masters surprisingly turned the most ordinary vegetables and fruits into artistic masterpieces. Today, the artistic carving of vegetables and fruits has received wide recognition. Carving gives the table a unique look.
In basics, this type of art is devoted to making your food more appealing to the eye.
The origins of fruit and vegetable carving are uncertain. But with high probability it may be originated from Japan or China.
In China food carving usually features mythological creatures and animals. Not only is fruit carving used in cultural and traditional ceremonies, but also ordinary households are known for decorating plates with fruit carvings when they have guests over. Specifically, watermelon carving has been and still is very popular in China.
Food carving in Japan is referred to as Mukimono. Mukimono (むきもの「剥き物」) is the traditional Japanese art of decorative garnishing. Examples of this include carving traditional images into skins of fruit and vegetables, as well as carving vegetables (such as daikon, carrot, eggplant) into attractive shapes such as flowers, twists, and fan shapes. These are commonly served as a garnish on the same plate as the meal, or on a small side plate.
Cutting food into flowers, birds, people, cranes, turtles, animals, and landscapes is a way to create a sense of the four seasons. The taste of the four seasons improves the appearance of the cuisine and plays a major role in improving the flavor.
Also special tools are used for Mukimono. Daikon radish, carrots, pumpkin, potatoes are complex things and it’s impossible to make something from them by means of common tableware.
Japanese Food Artist Gaku has been practicing the art of Mukimono. Since 2016 he began posting his craft on Instagram where he carved astonishing fruit and vegetable design. Due to oxidization, fruit carvers have to work fast, making Gaku’s art even more impressive. Gaku eats all of his projects when finished. Visit Gaku on Instagram.

Disappearing cultures. Myanmar’s and Chinese spiritual photos by Oliver Klink
Black-and-white photos by Oliver Klink are interesting cultural sketches about life in remote corners of our planet. The travel photographer tells about Myanmar, the Kingdom of Bhutan and the isolated Chinese provinces.
Gentle
Oliver Klink is a experienced traveler. Realizing that the globalization absorbs original cultures, he focuses on the authenticity, on the traditions, and common life of ordinary people in rural places. His pictures are an encyclopedia of life; photos of diversity and uniqueness.
Oliver is a physicist, was born in Switzerland, and became a photographer. He is one of the few photographers who printing his works using the piezography technique.
Laborious
As Klink says, his teachers were Art Wolf, Chris Rainer, Jimmy Nelson, Amy Vitale - travelers who traveled half the world with a camera in their hands.
Community Affair
The transition from a pre-modern or traditional to a modern society is frequently described as modernization. Modernization has had the consequences of diminishing the relevance of old world customs, rituals, familial and social relationships.
The set of photos “Consequences” addresses the current threats to natural and cultural diversity, sites where modernity, tradition, and wild lands collide. It is an elegy for what is vanishing and a celebration of those cultures on the fringe of modern society resilient enough to maintain their vibrancy.
As we drift toward a blandly amorphous, generic world, as cultures disappear and life becomes more uniform, we as a people and a species, and Earth itself, are deeply impoverished. The images take the viewer on a roller coaster ride of aesthetic of disappearance, with hope that the fading traditions are not permanent and irreversible.

Awesome Vector Illustrations. High detailed abstractions and low poly animals that catch your eyes
We love vector images. Work in this format is scalable, which means that it is not necessary to think about the size at the time of creation. Today we have collected cool illustrations that inspire you to work in the field of vector art
We are taking a closer look of the work of Rich Field also known as Fieldinspired. He’s an illustrator based in London, UK; you should definitely check out his shop where you’ll find limited prints of his art to buy. In Rich’s process, you’ll find a hand-drawn start with a finishing touch digitally that can go with a minimum of 80 layers to 220+ layers on certain pieces. Totally worth checking it out!
Another series of gorgeous low-poly illustrations starring animals from across the globe comes from German artist Jana Dinges.

Leo Art Print by DKNG
What began life as a client project has now become our newest animal themed art print, Leo the lion. This was a fun project because we had the chance to fuse a lion’s face with a variety of musical instruments including guitar, bass, drums, piano, horns, and violin. The print is a three color screen print and as a first for us, the inks are printed on top of a clear base layer that helps bring out the true vibrancy of the colors.
